Thank you for the patriotic love shown towards #KajuKatli, our appeal to Google for adopting Kaju Katli as the name for the next version of Android. We have grown up sharing love for some these sweets and as we show our love for Android OS, it is at times a bit unnatural waiting for Ice-Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean. How cool would it be if our favorite Android update was spelled as Halva or Jalebi 🙂 . That’s the thought we had when we started the #KajuKatli for Android Campaign.
The emotional connect shown by people supporting this campaign is heartwarming. Clearly, there are plenty who share our love for Kaju Katli and Android. Alok from Delhi commented “more than me, my daughter would love this. since, Kaji Katli is the only sweet, she loves. Please Google, go for it.” while Ronnie from Wisconsin says “It’s the first Indian sweet that I ever loved to eat!”.
We have read hundreds of tweets, comments and personal messages supporting the campaign. The community wishes that this becomes real and let us tell you in no unclear terms, we are serious about making it happen. Android is trailblazing, Google showed Hindi language support with Jelly Bean and announced 500% growth in India for Android platform. Just yesterday we heard about Google Play store allowing Indian developers to upload paid apps. For sure Android is a superhit in India and Google cares for India.
Our request to Google is that they consider an Indian sweet as the next version of Android. Over 5,000 of you have shown support in just 2 days using different mediums, but clearly Android and KajuKatli are much more popular than that. As we enter the second leg of our campaign, we urge you to spread the message in any manner you can. Sign the campaign and leave a comment for Larry Page and Andy Rubin, we would send them a delicious box of KajuKatlis and your messages in coming weeks.
And that is not all we can do. You could do a lot more to support KajuKatli’s quest to become the next version of Android. Here are some ideas:
a) Change your profile picture on all Social Networks. Use the options we have below or anything else that signifies your love for KajuKatli and Android.
b) Appeal to Larry Page and Andy Rubin On Google+. Tag @Google @GoogleIndia @Arubin on Twitter!
c) Make a giant KajuKatli cut out and campaign along with your friends. We did just that! Share photos of your KajuKatli with us using the hashtag #KajuKatli or email them to us on baba@pricebaba.com

It’s about time Google gives an Indian name to Android.. We give the numbers to Android – sales, developers, apps. There should be NO reason for Google not to enjoy the Favorite Indian sweet ” KajuKatli “.
